Mothers day

Description

Well, I drew Diego (Argentina) with his mother.

His mother was a young native girl that believed that giving herself to the Spaniards and giving birth to mixed breed between them would give place to the peace and brotherhood.

There was peace, for a time, because later the commerce with the Spaniards will turn complicated and fights will arise and then, their complete separation.

In the original comics she appears and talks to Spain first and offers help.

She is designed like a peaceful a loving young girl, no more than 14 years old, that keeps believing till the last moment of her short life that there was hope and that she did the right thing.

She was blinded of love and adoration towards her son that was not only beautiful for mother's eyes but in general, since she thought she was giving birth to the son of the Gods.

Her destiny is very sad, she ends up being rejected by the tribes once they see the mixing being a failure and she end up trying to live with the Spaniards, dying of a simple illness that the Spaniards passed to the natives (reason of why too, most of the natives died during the first period of calmness).

She did not live long enough, she dies even before Diego manages to walk or pronounce something. So Diego doesn't has any memories of her at all.

No one knows the name she gave him.

If someone ever heard the song "mothers' love" "Amor de madre" of Aventura, is pretty obvious that I will quote the part where it says " With bringing up her son she was making a mistake".

I own chars and story.

If she hadn't made the mistake of trying to bridge the gap between Spain and the natives, Argentina would not have been born and then we wouldn't have you guys.
